super safe. In this blog, i'll elaborate on this point and make the case for nuclear energy.
Price:
As you can see by this graph, nuclear energy is the cheapest source of energy to produce, at just over 2c/kwh. This graph takes into consideration all factors and expenses and from the graph it is easy to see that Nuclear energy is the best source of energy if we want to save money.
Environmental Impact:
Nuclear energy is the second most environmentally friendly energy source, just below wind energy. This means that, if we are serious on developing a carbon-neutral United States, nuclear energy would have to be a major part of the energy grid.
Efficiency:
As you can see by the graph, Nuclear energy is the 4th most efficient energy source, competing closely with hydroelctric. It is very significantly more efficient that our current main energy sources, oil and natural gas.
Waste:
As you can see by this graph, Nuclear energy actually produces the least amount of waste compared to other energy sources, and significantly so. Solar Energy actually produce a ton of waste, and it can also be very toxic like Nuclear waste.
Safety:
Nuclear Energy is, by far, the safest energy source, and it's not even close. The other energy sources are massively more dangerous in every single way by every possible measurement.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, nuclear energy is the cheapest, second most environmentally friendly, forth most efficient, least wasteful and safest energy source, and it should definately play a major part in the upcoming shift to environmentally-friendly energy sources.
